Veronica was the mother of two beautiful girls, Natalia and Nina, and the beloved wife of Will Waldrop. Veronica was a dreamer, a writer and a storyteller who found joy in building relationships and sharing experiences with everyone she met. Veronica had a special gift for connecting with others through her authenticity and enthusiasm.
During her two-year battle with breast cancer, Veronica wrote a magical tale for her daughters to inspire them after she was gone. She finished the poem only days before passing away on November 4, 2017.
Through The Nuff, she hoped to empower girls everywhere to be the bold and confident women they were created to be. Veronica left the world an enduring, heartwarming story of unconditional love, hope and perseverance.
Will Waldrop is a successful insurance executive, a dynamic community leader, and an active father of Nina and Natalia. He and his daughters live in St. Francisville, LA, where they enjoy spending time with grandparents, playing golf, and participating in ballet and piano recitals.
In the early weeks following Veronica’s passing, Will connected with a friend to share the powerful and moving poem she left behind for her girls. He asked for help to publish Veronica’s words and carry out three goals for her poem — to preserve Veronica’s legacy, establish a resource to help others, and create something for his daughters that would provide enduring guidance. Since then, he’s been on a mission to turn Veronica’s poem into a children’s book to inspire his girls and girls everywhere to know that they are enough.
Dear Natalia and Nina,
You are my heartbeat and give me purpose each day. I want this book to be a reminder of how special your mom was. Though we miss her every day, her courage and strength will always live in us. The Nuff is a part of our healing and the beginning of a mission to remind you, and daughters everywhere, that you are enough.
Laugh, love, and embrace the everyday just as your mom would want you to. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and always remember, you are a NUFF!
Love, Daddy
